Flawed, oh! How he is flawed.
angel(s) gripping you tight
AU - After receiving the translation of the angel tablet from Kevin, the Winchesters proceed to lock up the angels in heaven, Cas included. Guilt consumes Dean throughout the rest of his life, seeing Cas in everything he does - from driving in his Impala to eating his favorite cheeseburger. By the time Cas finds a way out of heaven, he realizes he’s too late.
“No. All there is is, ‘Watch out for Sammy! Look after your little brother, boy!’”
“What is it with you Winchesters? Huh? You, your dad, you’re both just itching to throw yourselves down the pit.”

“That’s a deep, dark nothing you got there, Dean. I can see how broken you are, how defeated. You can’t win and you know it. But you just keep fighting… Just keep going through the motions. Because inside, you’re already dead.”
In which Dean Winchester is actually a clingy boyfriend.
every breath, every hour has come to this
“He’s an angel.”
“He is the Balki Bartokomous of Heaven! He can make a mistake!”
AU MEME - based on celestialcow’s post
AU where Cas is an EMT and Dean is a detective and they keep running into each other at the same 911 calls. Dean starts flirting with him around the third time and it takes awhile for Cas to warm up to Dean, but every time they see other, they get a little closer.
Fast forward a year. everything is amazing and they are totally in love. On the day of their one year anniversary, they both take the day off so they can go on a fancy date. And Dean is planning to ask Cas to move in, because obviously he has a better house. Cas arrives to the restaurant first and then 5 minutes later Cas gets a call from work asking if he can come in b/c there’s three separate huge emergencies going on, and after some arguing, Cas finally agrees. He knows Dean will understand, because they are both first responders so he calls Dean, and when he doesn’t answer, he leaves a message and then ends up heading to the nearest 911.
It ends up being a car crash. A semi-truck ran a red light and rammed into two different cars. Cas gets out of his car and starts moving towards the ambulance when some of his fellow EMTS tell him he shouldn’t be here. He should go home. And he’s not sure why they keep looking at him like that. And then he catches sight of one of the cars. and it’s a very familiar 1967 black chevy impala. And he just knows.
